“The Castle” is the beginning. Where it really all started. Pedro Oliveira (Sétima Legião), José Sousa and Luis Aires (Rodrigo Leão) decided, in 2006, to make an album together. Start composing. To record.
And so this project was born, in Sousa’s house, which they called “The Castle”, a name that became a reference.
The first chords, the first filming and meetings were created there, with José Sousa on guitar to which Pedro Oliveira added his style, and Luís Aires added good moments of creation on bass. In a second phase, the musical arrangements of the themes would be carried out in a room adapted for rehearsing/recording, in the “Frágil” bar.

The idea of editing the work remained extremely strong, as did the desire to make known the themes that had become timeless for the three musicians, but after completing the mixing and recording process it was not possible to carry out their work. edition, ending up fading all the enthusiasm of the collective.
However, according to Pedro Oliveira’s words, “after more than fifteen years, we heard again what we had done. We were surprised. Perhaps because the songs have a genre and a sound that is not easily definable, it seemed as if time had been diluted. We then decided to remix the songs, with the precious help of João Eleutério and try, this time, not to fade.
